Building a Target Language Culture

This self-paced microcourse introduces world language educators to strategies for building a classroom culture where the target language is used consistently and purposefully. Participants will explore the role of meaningful communication, daily routines, and supportive teacher practices in increasing student participation and target language use. Through practical classroom examples, participants will learn how to prioritize meaning over correctness, support students in taking linguistic risks, and design a communicative routine they can implement in their own classroom.
