Maximizing Comprehensible Input

This self-paced microcourse introduces world language educators to practical strategies for maximizing comprehensible input in the classroom. Participants will explore how adjusting language, pacing, and complexity—along with using visuals, gestures, modeling, and meaningful repetition—can make the target language more accessible to learners. Participants will also learn how to check for understanding and recycle language across meaningful contexts, gaining practical tools to help students understand more of the language they hear and read.
